
GAME ON Feature: Andrew Yacyk

Recently, Liberty baseball player Andrew Yacyk was featured on LFSN's Game On program.
In a sit down interview with the junior first baseman/outfielder, Yacyk talks to LFSN Game On reporter Matt Warner about his decision to come to Liberty, playing baseball for the Flames and his future plans.
Yacyk was selected to the 2016 Big South All-Conference team as a utility player. Splitting time between first base and left field, the Liberty team captain finished the year hitting .307 with 49 RBI and 35 runs scored. He also collected 21 doubles, a triple and seven home runs.
Yacyk, who was named Big South Baseball Player of the Week for May 9-15, completed the year fourth in doubles and sixth in RBI. The Hagerstown, Md., native finished the year tied for fourth on Liberty's single-season doubles list with four other former Flames (Zack Haley – 2012, Cody Brown and P.K. Keller – 2008, and Mark DeMaz – 1981).
Yacyk also was named to the 2016 NCAA Division I Academic All-District 3 baseball team selected by CoSIDA.
