Liberty Athletics Congratulates its 2016 Graduates

More than 35,000 people are expected to crowd Williams Stadium and the campus of Liberty University throughout the day on Saturday as part of Commencement Weekend.
Among the 19,500-plus students who will receive their collegiate degrees today from Liberty will be more than 100 NCAA Division I student-athletes.
Liberty Athletics salutes our graduates, thanking them for their hard work, both in the classroom and on the athletics field of competition.
As Liberty's graduating student-athletes take part in Commencement, they will be signified by a special cord as part of their graduation attire. Last week, Liberty's graduating student-athletes were honored with during the annual Athletics Cord Ceremony with a unique blue and red cord (click here for more information).
Liberty's 2016 Commencement will also have an athletics flair to it as former All-America football player Rashad Jennings will served as the key note speaker.
Jennings, who is currently in his seventh season in the NFL, graduated from Liberty in 2008. During his three-year career with the Flames, he rushed for 3,633 yards, which ranks second best in program history, while setting a new program and Big South standard with 42 career rushing touchdowns.
