Fans unable to attend the Flames Fan Fest on Saturday at Williams Stadium can still be part of the action as the Liberty Flames Sports Network will provide live radio coverage of the event.
The Williams Stadium gates will open at 6 p.m. for the event and the football team will scrimmage from 7 to 8 p.m. The practice will mark the official conclusion of Liberty's preseason training camp.
The event is free of charge and open to the general public. Many of Liberty's traditional game day activities will be available to fans, including the Kid Zone play areas.
Following the scrimmage, Liberty Athletics will hold an autograph and photo session in the concourse underneath the Williams Stadium Tower. Head Coach Turner Gill and his staff will be available for autographs and photos directly following the scrimmage, followed shortly thereafter by the players. The meet-and-greet session will run for approximately an hour.
LFSN Radio will go on the air live, starting at 7 p.m. The broadcast will cover the entire two-hour event and will include guest interviews with athletics department staff members (7 to 8 p.m.) and football players (8 to 9 p.m.).
The broadcast can be heard both online at LibertyFlames.com (click on link above) and through the entire Journey FM radio network (click on link above – flagship station Journey FM 88.3 Lynchburg).
Additionally, fans can enjoy listening to the broadcast on various mobile platforms by downloading the My Journey FM app through the iTunes and Google play stores.
Alan York will host LFSN's radio coverage of Flames Fan Fest, along with Matt Warner, Jamie Hall and Matt Camire. During the show, LFSN Radio will preview the upcoming 2015 season and answer questions from the listeners. Fans are encouraged to email in their questions to lfsn@liberty.edu or to hashtag #LFSN on Twitter.
