Following the Flames morning workout, Liberty Head Football Coach Turner Gill met with the local media to discuss the progress his team is making during training camp.
Liberty held its third of four consecutive morning workouts today under overcast skies that gave way to some occasional showers. The Flames will hold their fourth morning practice in a row tomorrow before closing out training camp with two evening workouts.
Both nighttime practices will be open to different sections of the public. On Friday, Liberty Athletics will introduce its football game day traditions to the incoming freshman class during the President's Kickoff event, which will be followed a Liberty practice session.
The Flames will close out their August training camp on Saturday when they host their fourth annual Flames Fan Fest event. After Liberty holds a scrimmage, coaches and players will sign autographs in the concourse. The event is free to the public and begins at 6 p.m. (scrimmage starts at 7 p.m.).
During his session with the local media today, Gill talked about the development of Liberty's depth chart, plus he provided his thoughts about today's announcement of the Thursday night football game against Coastal Carolina now on Nov. 19.
