
Lady Flames Close Out Regular Season Tomorrow

The Liberty Lady Flames women's tennis squad travels to Richmond, Va. tomorrow to take on the Richmond Spiders at 2:30 p.m. Tomorrow's match concludes the 2015 regular season for the Lady Flames.
Liberty enters the final contest with the program's best single-season mark with a 17-4 overall record, including a 7-2 Big South mark for the second consecutive season. Richmond arrives into the match with an 11-5 overall record.
The Lady Flames have been paced all season in singles play by freshman standout Evangeline Crist. The Georgia native enters the final match with a 14-4 overall record, posting her best mark in the No. 4 flight with a 7-0 record.
Senior Nicola Wellman ranks second on the squad in doubles wins with 13 while Maria Khval and Emily Groeneveld are tied for third with 12 wins.
Crist and Khval are tied for the best doubles mark for the Lady Flames, each posting a 17-4 record. Khval has posted the best conference record on the team with an 8-1 doubles record versus Big South opponents.
The Spiders enter the match having lost three consecutive outings. Prior to its losing streak, Richmond had won eight contests in a row dating back to a 5-2 victory over Radford on March 2. The Spiders most recently fell to James Madison by a score of 4-0 yesterday in Harrisonburg, Va.
Liberty is 1-3 all-time against Richmond heading into tomorrow's contest. The Lady Flames notched their first win of the series last season when Liberty bested the Spiders, 6-1 on April 11 in Lynchburg, Va.
Following tomorrow's contest, the Lady Flames return to action at the Big South Championship in Asheville, N.C., which will begin on April 15.
