Catching Up with Liberty Pitcher Jared Lyons

Today, Liberty Flames Sports Network's Nick Pierce spent a few minutes with Liberty senior pitcher Jared Lyons. The two look back at his last start and talk about the early part of the season for the left-hander and the Flames.
Lyons picked up his first win of 2015 with six solid innings of work in Liberty's 8-3 victory over Kent State, Sunday. In four appearances, he has posted a 1-0 mark with a 2.00 ERA. In 18 innings, he has struck out 22.
Liberty is scheduled to host the Liberty Invitational at Liberty Baseball Stadium, this weekend. Penn State and Western Carolina join the Flames for the tournament. The Liberty Invitational gets underway with Western Carolina facing Penn State at 1 p.m., Friday. Later in the day, Liberty will host Western Carolina with first pitch scheduled for 5 p.m.
