Following the second annual Flames Club Baseball Director's Day event, LFSN reporter Nick Pierce had a chance to catch up with Flames Club Director Bob Good.
The Flames Club held its second annual Baseball Director's Day event on Feb. 5 at the renowned Liberty Baseball Stadium. During the event, Flames Club members at a Director's level ($3,000 and higher) were allowed to select their individual seat locations for the upcoming 2015 baseball season.
The event ran from 5 to 7 p.m. and members were welcomed in different time slots based upon their contribution level and amount of loyalty points accumulated.
Liberty will open the home portion of its 2015 season on Feb. 27 when the Flames welcome Bryant to Lynchburg to begin a four-game homestand. In total, Liberty will play 31 games at Liberty Baseball Stadium, which has been recognized as one of the top collegiate baseball stadiums in the country.
Liberty finished atop the Big South preseason poll that was recently released by the conference office. The Flames enter the 2015 season nationally ranked in three different polls, topping out at No. 23 in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Preseason Fabulous 40 ranking.
