Flames Club Concludes Record Breaking Year

The success of the Liberty University Athletics Department is not limited to the field of competition, as the Flames Club has announced it had a record breaking year in 2014.
The Flames Club, the booster club for Liberty Athletics, finished 2014 with an organization record 749 members and $678,204 in annual fund contributions. The Flames Club finished the year with a 20 percent increase in membership (625 members in 2013) and 19 percent increase in annual fund growth ($571,422 in 2013).
Under the direction of Bob Good, Liberty's Associate Athletics Director for Development and Flames Club Executive Director, the Flames Club also closed out 2014 with a record-setting total in contributions, including luxury suite leases and capital gifts for facility improvement. The Flames Club collected $1,358,885 in total contributions in 2014, marking the fifth year in a row the figure has surpassed $1 million.
During the last 10 years, the Flames Club has experienced tremendous growth and collected nearly $10 million in total contributions ($9,938,000). In 2005, the Flames Club was comprised of 256 members who contributed $178,000 in support of Liberty Athletics.
The mission of the Flames Club is to raise financial support for Liberty University Athletics and to ensure that our coaches and student-athletes have everything they need to compete for championships.
Contributions to the Flames Club are invested in the university's effort to equip and train Liberty's student-athletes to excel in the classroom and in the athletics arena, and to use the platform of NCAA Division I athletics for eternal significance.
The Flames Club's goal in 2015 is to reach 1,000 members for the first time in the organization's history and to reach the $800,000 level in annual fund contributions. Membership levels start at $60 and Flames Club members can be rewarded with preferred parking, seating, and hospitality privileges; based upon membership level.
