Under the direction of first year head coach Jeff Maren, the Liberty women's tennis team enters the 2012-13 season with high hopes for success. Throughout the 2012-2013 season, LibertyFlames.com will provide a look at each of the Lady Flames' players.
Junior Cameron Richard returns as one of the Lady Flames' top performers over the previous two seasons. Richard was named the Big South Freshman of the year in 2011, finishing the season with 13 wins. In her sophomore campaign, Richard finished in a tie for second on the team with 10 singles victories. The Birmingham, Ala. native won eight of her last nine matches, playing the majority of the season in the No. 2 position. She also recorded eight wins in doubles play in the spring.
From the Head Coach: "Cameron is an extremely talented individual who has the potential to be an impact player in both singles and doubles. We are blessed to have her team spirit and love for the game with us every day!"
