The Flames Sports Network has released its second of three scheduled Countdown to Kickoff Radio Shows, with the most recent show focusing on Liberty's defense and special teams. The trio of shows provides inside access into the program leading up to the team's season-opening game against N.C. State on Sept. 3.
The 30-minute show, which originally aired on Victory FM (88.3 FM) last Saturday, features interviews with defensive coordinator Tom Clark, defensive back Brent Vinson and two-time All-America kicker Matt Bevins.
The show, hosted by "Voice of the Flames" Alan York and FSN reporter Nick Pierce, also continued to preview Liberty's Big South opponents. During this week's segment, Pierce looks at Charleston Southern, Coastal Carolina and Stony Brook, including interviews with each program's head coach.
The Flames Sports Network will air its final Countdown to Kickoff Radio Show this Saturday, at 1 p.m. This week's show will feature a 2011 Football Training Camp recap with head coach Danny Rocco, plus a look at N.C. State that will includes a special interview with "Voice of the Wolfpack" Gary Hahn.
