This past Saturday, the Flames Sports Network (FSN) aired the first of three scheduled Countdown to Kickoff radio shows leading up to the Flames' season opener against N.C. State on Sept. 3.
During this week's show, "Voice of the Flames" Alan York and FSN sideline reporter Nick Pierce previewed Liberty's prolific offense. Last year, the Flames ranked No. 2 in the country in total offense (459.91 total yards per game) and No. 3 in scoring offense (36.45 points per game).
York and Pierce interviewed offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Brandon Streeter and quarterback Mike Brown. In 2010, Brown led the country in total offense, with the two-time Walter Payton Award candidate averaging 346.36 total offensive yards per contest.
FSN's second Countdown to Kickoff show will air this Saturday on WRVL, 88.3 FM (Victory FM), at 1 p.m. This week's show will have a defensive and special teams focus and will include interviews with defensive coordinator Tom Clark, defensive back Brent Vinson and two-time All-America kicker Matt Bevins.
