
Tuus Named Men's Tennis Player of the Week

Liberty's Siim Tuus has been named the Big South Men's Tennis Players of the Week.
Tuus, a freshman from Rakvere, Estonia, defeated two nationally ranked opponents last week at the No. 1 position. He came up with a big win Saturday over No. 80 ranked Ivan Salec, 6-1, 1-6, 6-4, to help the Flames hand Radford its first Big South dual loss since 2007. The next day, he followed with a 6-3, 6-4 win over William & Mary's Keizel Juneau, ranked No. 119 by the ITA in singles.
Tuus and the Flames have posted a 3-1 mark in Big South action and 11-8 overall. Liberty's three conference wins are the most since 2003. The Flames will host Winthrop in a Big South match on Saturday at the LU Tennis Courts. Match time is scheduled for 2 p.m.
