The UNC Asheville Bulldogs captured a 5-2 victory over the Liberty Lady Flames in a Big South Conference women's tennis match, Saturday afternoon, at the LU Tennis Courts.
Visiting UNC Asheville, in 3-2 Big South play and 10-5 overall, won both contested doubles matches and picked up a default in the No. 3 contest to claim the doubles point.
In singles, the Bulldogs success continued. UNC Asheville claimed wins in the No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5, along with a default at No. 6 for the final score of 5-2.
Jordan Jenkins won for the 11th time during the spring at No. 1. The junior defeated Leslie Smith, 6-1, 6-1. Nadia Solomon-Burgress also captured her match for the Lady Flames (0-4 Big South, 3-10 overall), winning at the No. 2 spot, 4-6, 6-1, 10-6.
Liberty will host Gardner-Webb tomorrow at the LU Tennis Courts. Match time is scheduled for 10 a.m.
