The Liberty women's basketball team saw its season-long 10-game winning streak snapped by Gardner-Webb, Monday at the Vines Center. The Lady Flames are now 17-5 overall and sit second in the Big South with a 7-2 conference record. Nick Pierce caught up with head coach Carey Green and sophomore Danika Dale, who has averaged 10.5 ppg in her last two contests, to recap the Gardner-Webb contest and look ahead to Monday's game at Winthrop.
Liberty's contest at Winthrop is the Lady Flames' only game on the schedule during an 11-day span. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. at the Winthrop Coliseum, as Liberty attempts to complete a season sweep of the Eagles. The Lady Flames took the teams' first meeting of the season, 67-38, Jan. 9 at the Vines Center.
