The inaugural class of the Liberty Athletics Hall of Fame will be inducted at a banquet ceremony on Friday, Sept. 25. The seven inductees in the first class are: Dr. Jerry Falwell, Art Williams, Coach Bob Bonheim (wrestling), Sid Bream (baseball), Karl Hess (basketball), Kelvin Edwards (football) and Elena Kisseleva Bengds (basketball).
Each of the inductees will be presented by a person of their choosing and then will speak to the audience and receive their award.
The banquet, open to all Flames fans and the general public, begins at 7 p.m. and will be hosted at the Holiday Inn Select in downtown Lynchburg. Tickets are available for $25 at the Flames Ticket Office and online at the link below.
The inductees will also be presented to the audience at the James Madison football game on Saturday, September 26.
