BSC Tournament Delayed Until Saturday

For the second consecutive day, a late-evening thunderstorm in Radford has suspended play at the Big South Softball Championship. As a result, the No. 3 seed Liberty Lady Flames will not begin their next contest until Saturday afternoon.
No. 4 seed Charleston Southern and No. 5 seed Gardner-Webb were deadlocked, 2-2, when play was halted due to a thunderstorm, just after 8 p.m. Friday evening. CSU had a runner on third base with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning at the time.
The Lady Buccaneers and Bulldogs are scheduled to resume their elimination contest Saturday at noon. No. 3 Liberty will take on the game's winner, 30 minutes after the suspended game is completed. The winner of Liberty's contest will then face No. 1 seed and host team Radford in the tournament championship game, 30 minutes later.
