Rounding the Bases with Danielle Howard

Today, the "Rounding the Bases" segment features Danielle Howard, a freshman from Earlville, Md.
Howard has found her home in left field for the Lady Flames, and also serves as the team's leadoff batter. She has 32 game starts under her belt, and has appeared in 33 of Liberty's 35 games this season.
The scrappy player is quick around the bases, and is tied for first on the team with six stolen bases on the year. She ranks second on the squad with a .258 overall batting average, and has recorded the most walks with 14.
Howard has been instrumental in conference play, batting .316 in Big South games and recording six hits over those six games, with three in one game alone against Winthrop.
The business major graduated from Bohemia Manor High School, where she helped lead her softball team to division and regional championships. Howard was also named first-team all-county as a sophomore, junior and senior.

The best movie was Never Back Down. Even though some parts were corny, the point of the story pumps me up.
I came to Liberty because …
I wanted my peers to feel the same way about God. I wanted a family who brought me closer in spirit and I truly found it.
Share something about one of your teammates that someone outside the program would never know without you telling them.
Benny sleeps with her hat! But in her defense, this hat is the coolest one ever.
Who is your favorite Bible character and why?
God, of course. He gives me strength.
My earliest memory while competing in my sport is …
When I first started my dad handed me a glove for the first time. I immediately told him we had to get a new one because "this one does not fit right." He said, "No Dani, it goes on your left hand!" I replied, "I can't catch with my left hand!"
If you could be somebody else for a day, who would you be and why?
I would like to be someone in Heaven. That way, I'll know exactly what I'm looking forward to!
The best part of being a Liberty student-athlete is …
Before every game, meeting or practice, we pray to God to be with us. It's reassuring that we have the Lord on our side.
My dream job would be …
To own a couple of businesses that are very wealthy and managed by other people, so I do not have to be there to stress over them.
What is the best book you have ever read (other than the Bible)?
I'm not going to lie. I don't read much.
If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?
I would want to be able to move anything with my mind, including myself so I could fly.

I don't watch much TV, but I like Friends.

When people meet me I've heard, "You have white teeth," but I don't really think so.
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up and are you pursuing it still as a career/profession after graduation?
I wanted to be a pediatrician, but I tried to help change my brother's surgery wounds and almost puked! That's not happening.
