Rounding the Bases with Brittany Keeney

Today, the "Rounding the Bases" segment spotlights Brittany Keeney, a freshman from Westminster, Md.
Keeney, a relief pitcher for the Lady Flames, has appeared twice in the circle this year. In her first collegiate appearance, she struck out one batter against Cal State Northridge.
Keeney, a graduate of North Carroll High School, pitched all four years and also shared outfield and first base duties for her high school team. She was a softball letterwinner as a junior and senior, and her junior-year squad won the county championship.
Getting to know Brittany Keeney
What is your favorite Bible verse and why?
Philippians 4:13. I say it almost every day and before pitching, because it reminds me that I am not alone. God is always there.
What has been your favorite class at Liberty and why?
Math 115, because I love math classes, and psychology because I love the teacher. Bible 105 is an awesome class, too. I've gotten a lot out of it.
I know it's not good for me, but I love to eat …
Anything with chocolate and peanut butter, especially Reese's.
What was the best movie you watched over the last year?
The Dark Knight.
I came to Liberty because …
I wanted to grow closer to God and I knew Liberty could lead me to His will for my life. Also, they have softball and my major.
Who is your favorite Bible character and why?
David, because of his bravery.
My earliest memory while competing in my sport is …
Tee-ball, cheering on the top of the bench next to my best friend, Brooke.
If you could be somebody else for a day, who would you be and why?
Jennie Finch, because I would love to know how to master pitching and all the techniques.
The best part of being a Liberty student-athlete is …
Knowing that God is constantly around and alive on this campus.
My dream job would be …
A missionary and an owner of a magazine.
The team that I'm most looking forward to competing against this year is (and why) …
Texas A&M, because of the level of competition.
What is the best book you have ever read (other than the Bible)?
I don't read much, but I love Jerry Falwell's book of devotions.
If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?
I have always wanted to fly, because I would love to be able to touch the clouds.

What I Like About You, because I used to always watch it with my sister; and Friends, because it's hilarious.

A veterinarian, and no.
