McKoy Named Big South Golfer of the Week

Liberty's Parker McKoy has been named the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Men's Golfer of the Week for events played March 27-April 2.
McKoy (Sr., Wake Forest, N.C.) tied for fourth out of 100 golfers at Towson's Lacrosse Collegiate Invitational, March 29-30, with a three-over par 147 (70-77), three shots behind the medalist. It was his best finish of the season, and he led all golfers entering the second and final round.
McKoy and the rest of the Liberty Flames five combated blustery and windy conditions all weekend, including heavy frost to start round two, but still managed to place second out of 19 participating teams. Liberty finished two strokes behind tournament champion Longwood for the Flames' best team finish of the season.
The Flames hit the links again Friday, at East Carolina's Ironwood Pirate Intercollegiate. The tournament will be played at the Ironwood Country Club in Greenville, N.C.
