
Johnson Announces Signing

Liberty Women's Tennis Coach Chris Johnson has announced the signing of Lais Souza to a National Letter of Intent for the upcoming 2008-09 academic year.
A native of Sao Carlos, Brazil, has earned a WTA ranking as high as 815. In addition, she was ranked as high as No. 1 in Brazil in the juniors.
"Lais is a very talented player, and we are very happy to have her join our team," stated Johnson in announcing the signing. "She will compete for the top positions on our team and is expected to contribute right away."
Souza joins a Liberty squad which posted its best record ever this spring, with a 13-4 record. The mark featured a 12-match winning streak, the longest in school history.
