
Trojan Named to All-Academic Team

Liberty senior Jarda Trojan has been named to the 2008 Big South Conference Men's Tennis All-Academic Team, as the conference's postseason awards were announced Wednesday night at the Big South Tennis Banquet in Rock Hill, S.C.
Trojan, boosted by a GPA of 3.7, was named to the conference all-academic team for the first time. The Prague, Czech Republic native is a member of the Liberty Honors Program and is a three-time University Dean's List honoree. After transferring to Liberty as a sophomore, he also has been named to the Big South Presidential Honor Roll three times.
Trojan, along with the rest of the No. 5 seed Liberty Flames, take on the on No. 4 seed Coastal Carolina Chanticleers, Thursday. Match time for the opening contest of the 2008 Big South Men's Tennis Championship at the Memorial Courts, on the campus of Winthrop University, is scheduled for 9 a.m.
