
Lady Flames Tabbed USTFCCCA All-Academic Team

The Liberty women's cross country team has been recognized as a U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team.
The Lady Flames were one of 158 NCAA Division I women's cross country teams honored on Tuesday. Head coach Brant Tolsma's squad earned the honor for the second-consecutive season by posting a team GPA of 3.07. Stanford was recognized as the 2007 USTFCCCA Women's All-Academic Cross Country Team of the Year.
The USTFCCCA honored Liberty senior Piper Newby (Hayden Lake, Idaho) as a member of its All-Academic cross country team on Monday. Newby was also included on the Big South All-Academic team this past season.
