No. 22/24 Liberty ran its unbeaten Big South streak to 11-straight games, finishing back-to-back conference championship seasons with a 30-10 victory over Gardner-Webb, Saturday evening, at Williams Stadium.
For the second year in a row, LibertyFlames.com will be bringing audio and video footage from head coach Danny Rocco's postgame press conferences for each of Liberty's 12-regular season games. Video footage will be provided for all home games, while audio coverage will follow Liberty's five road contests.

News and Notes from the Gardner-Webb game:
• With the victory, the Flames join Liberty's 1979 and 1997 teams as the only teams in program history to reach the nine-win plateau.
• The win sealed Liberty's second straight unbeaten Big South Conference season, allowing Liberty to become the second team in conference history to post back-to-back undefeated records (Gardner-Webb did so first in 2002 and 2003).
• With the victory, the Flames picked up their fifth Big South Conference win in a season, becoming the first team in league history to win five league games in a season.
• The victory extended Liberty's Big South record conference winning streak to 11 straight games, which currently ranks as the second best FCS conference winning streak in the country.
• Liberty is one of eight FCS programs to have reached the nine-win mark in 2008.
• For the eighth straight game and the 10th time this year, the Flames amassed 400-plus yards of total offense (442 yards), allowing Liberty to remain ranked No. 8 nationally in average total offensive yards per game (450.36).
• Liberty nearly missed posting its seventh 200-plus yard rushing game, as the Flames finished with 195 yards on 42 carries.
• For the eighth time this year and the 19th time under the direction of head coach Danny Rocco, the Flames reached the 30-point mark, enabling the Flames to be ranked No.15 nationally in scoring offense (34.36 points per game).
• The Flames set a new best mark under head coach Danny Rocco, as Liberty committed only one penalty during its 60-minute contest against Gardner-Webb.
• The Flames finished the game by forcing Gardner-Webb to commit five turnovers, the most by a Liberty opponent since VMI committed five giveaways last year.
• Liberty fumbled the ball away late in the contest against Gardner-Webb, leaving the Flames with a +4 turnover margin against the Bulldogs which helped the Flames climb to No. 28 nationally in turnover margin (+0.64).
• The Flames finished the game 7-of-13 on third-down plays, allowing Liberty to maintain it's nationally lead in the statistical category as Liberty is converted on third-down plays 53.2 percent of the time.
• For the third time in four games and the sixth time this year, the Flames won the time of possession battle, 31:30 to 28:30.
• Liberty finished the game with three sacks, marking the fourth time this year the Flames have finished a game with three or more sacks.
• The Flames allowed a sack for just the fifth time in the last 10 games, allowing Liberty to remain ranked No. 4 nationally in sacks allowed per game (0.73).
• Rashad Jennings rushed for 56 yards to become the program and Big South's single season rushing leader with 1,391 yards, surpassing Dre Barnes mark of 1,347 yards set in 2003.
• Rashad Jennings' recorded his 16th rushing touchdown of the year against Gardner-Webb, tying the senior with Lawrence Worthington (1994) single-season touchdown record.
• Rashad Jennings finished the game with 56 rushing yards, ending his program and Big South record 100-yard game rushing streak at 10 straight games.
• For the fifth straight game and the seventh time this year, Brock Smith threw for 200-plus yards as the senior finished the Gardner-Webb game with 226 passing yards.
• With the 226 passing yards, Brock Smith moved into second place on the Big South's all-time passing list and third in program history, as the senior now has thrown for 6,763 yards.
• Brock Smith threw two touchdown passes for the fifth straight game, giving the senior 50 career touchdown passes, which places him second in program history and third in the Big South record books.
• Nick Hursky finished the game with 15 tackles, marking a new season high for the senior and the second most tackles in a game for the linebacker.
• Chris Rocco also reached double figures in the game, setting a new career high with 11 tackles, while adding a career best two fumble recoveries.
• Tim Torrence recorded the first two sacks of his career, while adding eight total tackles to finish third on the squad in stops against the Bulldogs.
