
Tennis Closes Fall Season at ITA Regionals

Louis Steyn won his opening singles match, as Liberty's men's tennis team closed out its fall season this past weekend, at the ITA Mideast Regionals at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Va.
Steyn defeated Sebastian Gonzales of USC Upstate in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1, in the first round of qualifying. Steyn later dropped his second-round qualifying match.
Senior Sebastian Pena fell in his opening main draw singles match to Longwood's Brandon Lindsey in a tightly played contest, 7-6 (7), 6-4.
The ITA's bring to a close a successful fall season for the Flames. Liberty will begin its spring season in late February.
