Rachael Taylor stepped into her role as Event and Facilities Assistant in June 2024.\
In her current position, Taylor oversees game operations for Volleyball while assisting with Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Football and Golf.
Taylor previously served as a Student Worker for Liberty Athletics Event Management and Facilities from Aug. 2022-May 2024, providing support for the NCAA Division I visiting teams and coaching staff through greeting the teams for practices and game days and providing any items and needs for game day. She also greeted officials before each event and assisted them to their locker room. Taylor also set up and cleaned up the facility to ensure a safe environment for different athletic programs, including football, basketball, volleyball and softball facilities.
Taylor earned a bachelor’s degree in sport management from Liberty in May 2024, graduating with cum laude distinction. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sport management at Liberty, which she expects to complete in May 2026.
Taylor gained other experience in athletics, serving as a Games Intern for the Virginia Commonwealth Games in the summer of 2023. She communicated with over 15 sport coordinators across the state of Virginia to gain understanding and provide all needs necessary to run an event successfully. She attended and aided over 20 different events, included but not limited to basketball, baseball, softball, archery and pickleball. Finally Taylor assisted with problem solving during All-Star and Main Games weekend to ensure events ran smoothly and managed any needs or issues that occurred.
Originally from Roanoke, Va., Taylor currently resides in Lynchburg.
