Myo Baxter-Bell enters his second season as a Graduate Manager with the program.
After playing professionally in Argentina in 2021, Baxter-Bell rejoined the program as a Graduate Manager in June 2021. His primary role is daily on-court individual player development, player mentorship, film analysis and program support.
Baxter-Bell played for the Flames from 2015-20 and is a two-time ASUN champion (2019 and 2020). Baxter-Bell and Liberty won 29 games in 2019 and defeated No. 5 seed Mississippi State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Baxter-Bell scored a season-high 13 points in that first round game. In 2020, the Flames won a program-record 30 games while losing only four times. Baxter-Bell finished his Liberty career with 900 points, which currently ranks 33rd in program history. He also totaled 384 rebounds, good for 38th most in school history, and 173 assists (tied for No. 39 in program history).
Baxter-Bell has a bachelor’s degree in sport management from Liberty and will complete his master’s degree in sport management in the spring of 2023. He hopes to enter the full-time coaching world after graduation to continue his passion of caring for and developing people on and off the court.
An Ohio native, Baxter-Bell is the son of Trinette Young and the late Tim Bell. He has two brothers, TJ and Kameron, and one nephew, Krue.
