Diego Guerron

Diego Guerron assumed his role as Staff Athletic Trainer in June 2023.
His primary sport responsibility is Men’s Soccer, and he also assists with Men’s Tennis. In this role, he provides injury evaluation, therapeutic intervention strategies and collaborative sports medicine care for the student-athletes under his care.
Guerron comes to Liberty after doing an internship at the South Florida with the football program. Prior to that, he was a Graduate Assistant at Western Illinois. While at Western Illinois, Diego primarily worked with the football, softball and men’s soccer programs.
While with the Western Illinois men’s soccer and softball programs, Guerron managed and organized the healthcare for student-athletes and coordinated high-level injury prevention and management protocols. With football, he provided sideline coverage of competitions and practices and treated acute injuries, heat illnesses and emergencies. Guerrongraduated from Western Illinois University in 2023 with his master’s degree in kinesiology.
Before beginning his career at Western Illinois, Diego attended Kansas State. As an athletic training student, he worked with the K-State football, women’s Soccer and track & field programs. He graduated from Kansas State University in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training and a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology.
Diego is a BOC Certified athletic trainer He holds additional certifications in CPR/AED.
Originally from Quito, Ecuador, Diego currently resides in Lynchburg.
