Student-Athlete Q&A
What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
I wanted to come to Liberty because it was down south, had a great Christian atmosphere, and had an aviation program. I also know a lot of people from my high school who go here.
Is there anything special you do pregame or postgame and why?
One thing I started doing this year is writing Bible verses on my spikes that I look at before I compete. The one spike has Matthew 10:28 on it, and the other has the phrase "For His glory and His alone.”
What is your most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment?
Placing 12th at New Balance Nationals.
If you picked your jersey/uniform number, why is that number important to you?
I picked 16 when I used to play football.
Favorite meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and what is that special meal?
Dinner for sure, I love either chicken and rice or steak and potatoes.
What is the first app you check on your phone each day?
Instagram
What is your favorite hobby outside of athletics?
Hiking or anything outside like that. I also enjoy thrifting.
Do you have any current pets (name and type of animal)?
My dog Luna, she's a springer spaniel-poodle mix.
Who was your favorite athlete growing up?
Justin Gatlin
What is your go-to karaoke song?
“Maine” by Noah Kahan
What is your dream vacation spot and why?
Doing a tour of all the national parks out west because it’s beautiful out there. My dad has spent some time there and loved it.
