2011 (Fr.): Picked a good time for a season-best 13-9.25 pole vault clearance, as it earned him fifth place at the Big South indoor meet … tied for second in his collegiate debut, vaulting 12-6 at the Hornet Indoor Sprints, Jumps & Throws Challenge.

Prep: Graduated from Northside Christian High School … improved his pole vault personal best from 9-0 as a freshman to 14-6 as a senior … Florida Class A state runner-up in the pole vault his senior year … also won the Bay Conference and district pole vault crowns in 2010 … two-time field MVP on his Northside Christian team.

Personal: Son of Happy and Marcelle Rideout … biblical studies major … birthday is on June 3.
