What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
A combination of perusing excellence in soccer and academics with a focal point on Christ. Liberty provided me with a great opportunity to grow in my faith, academics, and athletics.
Is there anything special you do pregame or postgame and why?
I usually like to listen to music before games to amp me up or it allows me to relax if we do worship as a team before a game.
Who in your life inspires you and why are they such an inspiration?
My grandfather, Curt Emery. He was a general in the Air Force and was an integral part in sparking my journey in my faith.
What is your most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment?
My first collegiate goal at Queen’s my freshman year.
If you picked your jersey/uniform number, why is that number important to you?
21, because that’s the number I’ve carried all through college.
Do you have any relatives who are playing or have played college or professional sports? (Names, relation to you, what/where they played)?
My grandfather, Curt Emery, played football at Air Force. My dad, Paul Bender, played soccer at NC State. My mom, Audra Bender, ran track at Appalachian State.
Favorite meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and what is that special meal?
My favorite meal would definitely be a nice steak dinner.
What is the first app you check on your phone each day?
Instagram.
What is your favorite hobby outside of athletics?
I enjoy cars as well as going to the gym casually.
Do you have any current pets (name and type of animal)?
I have 2 dogs, a yellow lab named Bexley, and a dachshund named Max.

Cam Newton
What is your favorite possession and why?
My phone because it has anything I need to do on it.

What is your dream vacation spot and why?
My dream vacation spot would be Italy because of the food and the car scene.
