Student-Athlete Q&A
What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
Liberty University was the right place for me since the moment I stepped on campus. Coaches and staff, teammates, the culture, and values made me realize that I am where I'm supposed to be. It's an institution that makes you work from the inside out. Not only does this program help me develop my skills on the court, but it also helps me grow on a personal level.
Is there anything special you do pregame or postgame and why?
Before games, I always call my parents. Since they are in another country it is hard for them to come to games. They are my motivation and always give me a little extra focus and positive mindset before games.
What is your most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment?
My most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment was in this last season (2023-2024). I got honored with Defensive Player Of The Year, All Conference First Team, All Championship Team, and All-East Region Second Team playing for Franklin Pierce University in the NE10 conference. It was a very special senior year for me. All the hard work and dedication paid off and we had a great season with an amazing team.
If you picked your jersey/uniform number, why is that number important to you?
I picked 22 since I like to think of 2 as my lucky number. It is also my grandma's house number and makes me think of my family.
Do you have any relatives who are playing or have played college or professional sports? (Names, relation to you, what/where they played)?
Two of my siblings played college golf. My brother Albert Badosa Soler played golf at Nicholls State University in Louisiana. My sister Laia Badosa Soler also played golf at Morningside University in Iowa.
Favorite meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and what is that special meal?
My favorite meal is a Spanish dish called Paella. Every time I try it, it reminds me of home and my grandfather’s. It consists of rice with saffron, chicken, and seafood, among other things.
What is the first app you check on your phone each day?

What is your favorite possession and why?

What is your Go-To karaoke song?
Destino o Casualidad by Melendi y Ha*Ash
What is your dream vacation spot and why?
Thailand is my dream vacation spot because of its crystal-clear waters, beautiful beaches and islands, great food, and great nature and wildlife. It is also a very spiritual place that catches my attention.
