Previous School: Transfer from Illinois … did not see any playing time during the 2010 season … earned All-Big Ten freshman honors from The Sporting News following the 2009 season … played in 10 games as a true freshman, starting five games at safety … finished the 2009 season with 32 tackles, 26 of which were solo stops … also added two pass breakups.
Prep: Graduate of Harding High School … played quarterback and defensive back … All-Queen City Conference Offensive Player of the Year … All-Queen City first-team All-Conference on defense and earned The Gridiron Great award … first-team all-state by the Charlotte Observer … named the RedZone Old Spice Player of the Year in the state of North Carolina … threw for 1,500 yards and 15 touchdowns and ran for approximately 565 yards and five touchdowns, leading team in both categories … recorded six interceptions, running back one 104 yards for a touchdown … earned first-team All-Mecklenberg County honors.
