Student-Athlete Q&A
What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
The truly Christ-centered community at Liberty was the biggest part of my decision - having the opportunity to play football at a school that puts Jesus first is something I just couldn’t turn down.
Is there anything special you do pregame or postgame and why?
I always pray before every game. Welcoming God into the game day is the most important thing we, as players, can do.
Who in your life inspires you and why are they such an inspiration?
My parents, Brad and Holland, inspire me the most on a daily basis. They have worked so hard in raising me and are a huge part of why I get to be at Liberty. They exemplify selfless and humble leadership every day, and I couldn’t be more thankful for the influence they have had on me.
What is your most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment?
My most memorable moment in my athletic career is defeating BYU at home during the 2022 season. The emotions surrounding the game before and after were unforgettable. Another memorable moment was at the end of my senior year of high school when our football team won the state championship. We had worked toward it for the past 3 seasons, and I got to see the vision realized at the end of our senior season.
If you picked your jersey/uniform number, why is that number important to you?
I picked 22 because it is the number that my mother and grandmother wore in high school, and has been in my family for a long time, and I honor them by carrying on their legacy.
Favorite meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and what is that special meal?
My favorite meal is dinner, and that special meal is some tortellini pasta with salad.
What is the first app you check on your phone each day?
Teamworks to look at our schedule for the day.
What is your favorite hobby outside of athletics?
Motocross riding.
Do you have any current pets (name and type of animal)?
Yellow Lab named Loki.
Who was your favorite athlete growing up?
Wes Welker
What is your favorite possession and why?
My Bible because it sustains me every day. The word of God is alive and active! Hebrews 4:12
What is your Go-To karaoke song?
Wagon Wheel by Darius Rucker
What is your dream vacation spot and why?
Hawaii. I’m a big fan of collared Hawaiian shirts with sandals, and what better place to wear them than in Hawaii?
