Chris Brown is entering his seventh year of full-time service with the Flames football program. After five seasons as Liberty’s assistant football equipment manager, Brown was promoted to head football equipment manager during the spring of 2012.
However, Brown is no stranger to the team. He was a part of the program for four years as a member of the student manager staff prior to joining Liberty’s full-time equipment staff in 2006.
Brown’s duties include but are not limited to purchasing, fitting, maintaining and distributing of all football practice and game-day equipment for all players and the coaching staff.
Brown is a native of Lynchburg, Va., and a 2001 graduate of Brookville High School, where he served as a football equipment manager for six years. He is a District 2 member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA), an association for athletic equipment managers from all over the United States and Canada.
Brown, who was certified by AEMA as equipment manager in July 2009, completed his bachelor’s degree in sport management from Liberty in May 2007.
