What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
The team atmosphere and culture were what brought me to have an initial draw to Liberty. Finding a team with a competitive atmosphere that is Christ-centered and also focused on building spiritual qualities was an important factor that brought me to Liberty.
Is there anything special you do pregame or postgame and why?
I have a strict nutritional pre-meet routine involving leg massages and beet-juice, among other things.
Who in your life inspires you and why are they such an inspiration?
My father inspires me to become a better person, while still being the best I can be on the track. He has been super supportive throughout my entire running and academic career and is a good role model himself as he coaches many young athletes and is an accomplished engineer himself.
What is your most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment?
My most memorable athletic moment was on the bus to my first-ever collegiate cross-country race. It was a significant moment that had taken so long to get to and had signified that I had made it. Collegiate cross country and the bonds that are made through the sport are unmatched.
Favorite meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and what is that special meal?
Southwest Chicken Pasta, which is a popular homemade recipe that I make about once a month. I often make it for a bunch of my teammates, and it involves slow-cooking chicken with salsa, corn, beans, cream cheese, and egg white pasta. A personal favorite meal to make and eat.
What is the first app you check on your phone each day?
I check my messages first.
What is your favorite hobby outside of athletics?
Playing Mario Kart Wii.
Do you have any current pets (name and type of animal)?
I have a 5 year old Yorkshire Terrier, named Samson.
Who was your favorite athlete growing up?
Eli Manning
What is your favorite possession and why?
My Nintendo Wii.
What is your Go-To karaoke song?
Dirt on My Boots by Jon Pardi.
What is your dream vacation spot and why?
Grand Teton national Park, I love hiking out in the western USA.
