Student-Athlete Q&A
What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
Going on my visit to Liberty I felt a strong connection with the environment and the culture. Everyone was so sweet, and I loved how they would honor God in everything and put him first.
Is there anything special you do pregame or postgame and why?
I pray before the game to honor God and thank Him for the opportunity to race. After the game I drink water and eat food because I probably didn't eat enough that day and have my appetite back.
Who in your life inspires you and why are they such an inspiration?
My mom, because she is tough and gorgeous. She’s had twelve kids and still looks young.
What is your most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment?
Winning Adidas nationals (national elite) and running a 2:13 as a sophomore.
Favorite meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and what is that special meal?
Waffles and turkey bacon is a nice first meal. If you’re really hungry, tacos. An almond butter and honey sandwich is a good snack if you’re on the go. Chicken alfredo is so good after a race!
What is the first app you check on your phone each day?
iMessages
What is your favorite hobby outside of athletics?
Reading, painting nails, music
Do you have any current pets (name and type of animal)?
Shadow, he's my cat.
Who was your favorite athlete growing up?
Sydney McLaughlin
What is your favorite possession and why?
My Garmin watch for tracking everything
What is your go-to karaoke song?
