Student-Athlete Q&A
What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
Liberty holds moral standards that align with my personal morals. I knew attending Liberty University would not only grow me physically as a student-athlete, but also grow me mentally into a strong Christian leader.
Is there anything special you do pregame or postgame and why?
I always find the time pregame to get some alone time to just calm my nerves and pray that God will take care of me out on the field. Whatever position I’m playing, before every inning I draw a Cross and my grandfather's initials in the dirt. It reminds me to always play for God, and that my grandfather is still watching me from Heaven.
Who in your life inspires you and why are they such an inspiration?
My parents have always been a huge inspiration to me because of the strong faith they've always shown and taught my siblings and I to have. They have supported me on and off the field in every way and I'm beyond thankful to have been blessed with such an amazing support system. They are constantly teaching me ways to grow my faith and leading by example in doing so.
What is your most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment?
As long ago as it was, my most memorable athletic moment was hitting a HR in the 10u PGF National Championship. Out of all the blessings God has given me, this one stands out to me the most because it really shows nothing is impossible when God is on your team.
If you picked your jersey/uniform number, why is that number important to you?
I have always worn #16 since the first time I picked up a bat. I originally picked it because of Peyton Manning, but now #16 reminds me to show that little girl with all those big dreams, that they do come true.
Favorite meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and what is that special meal?
My favorite meal is dinner. I would choose my families Christmas dinner. My dad orders lamb chops each year and grills them at home. My mom makes baked sweet potatoes, asparagus, and green bean casserole. My favorite dessert is ice cream.
What is the first app you check on your phone each day?
Snapchat
What is your favorite hobby outside of athletics?
I like to do arts and crafts.
Do you have any current pets (name and type of animal)?
I have four dogs, named Cowboy, Lulu, Rue and Remy.
Who was your favorite athlete growing up?
Peyton Manning
What is your favorite possession and why?
My Necklace- The charm was given to my mom when I was born as a gift from my nan. When I turned 16, she bought me a necklace for the charm, and I haven't taken it off since.
What is your Go-To karaoke song?
Jolene by Dolly Parton
What is your dream vacation spot and why?
Jerusalem because I think it'd be pretty awesome to see all the important places in the Bible in real life. It would be cool to connect all the stories to a specific place and imagine it happening.
