Time now for Today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Tuesday, October 29, 2024, I'm Nick Pierce.
Midweek on the Mountain with Flames football returns this week. Liberty will host Jacksonville State in a Conference USA game, tomorrow night at seven o'clock in Lynchburg. Williams Stadium gates open at 5:30. After last week's stunning loss at Kennesaw State, Flames tight end Bentley Hanshaw says the team has to turn the page.
"You can cower away or you can stand in the fire and face this adversity. And we lost to a team that we should've beat. So, it's like I said, it's easy to back away and it's easy to kind of throw in the towel and just retreat but I think who we are will be shown in the next several weeks, depending on how we play and how we show up to games."
Coming up today, Flames field hockey looks to get back in the win column. Liberty visits James Madison at two o'clock this afternoon. And Flames volleyball is on the road today as Liberty takes on FIU in a Conference USA match. That gets underway at 12 Noon in Miami.
