Flames Basketball Starts Week 1 of Official Practices For 2026-27 Campaign

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Liberty Flames men's basketball team has started week one of official practices in preparation for the 2026-27 campaign.
On Tuesday afternoon, Liberty Men's Basketball Head Coach Ritchie McKay, junior guard Cooper Campbell and sophomore guard Zander Carter met with members of the media in the Liberty Arena Media Room to discuss the upcoming season.
Liberty enters the 2026-27 season as the two-time defending Conference USA regular season champion. The Flames' season begins on Nov. 2 at midnight against High Point in the Field of 68 Showcase in Rock Hill, S.C. The contest will be the first college basketball game of the 2026-27 campaign in the United States.
The Flames enter their fourth season in Conference USA this upcoming year. Liberty unveiled its fourth CUSA schedule in early July. The program unveiled its full non-conference schedule on Aug. 28.
2026-27 Men's Basketball Non-Conference Ticket Sale Information
Single-game tickets for non-conference games go on sale on Oct. 15 for Flames Club members. For season ticket holders and group tickets, additional tickets go on sale on Oct. 19. Single-game tickets for the non-conference contests go on sale to the general public on Oct. 23. The Dec. 19 Liberty-Dayton tickets will be available to select groups on their respective date and available to the public starting on Dec. 1. Please visit LUBasketball.com for more information.
