LYNCHBURG, VA. – The Liberty Flames men's soccer team will continue their five-game road swing with a match against the Virginia Cavaliers Saturday at Klockner Stadium in Charlottesville, Va.
After a week in which the Flames tied Georgia Southern and defeated American, Liberty will enter the contest 2-2-1 on the season. Host Virginia will enter the match with a 2-3-1 record.

- Liberty and Virginia will meet for the first time since 2011 on the soccer pitch. Saturday night's meeting will be the 20th meeting between the two teams on the soccer field.
- Liberty has played four of its five games on the road, posting a 2-1-1 mark. The Flames are in the midst of a five-game road swing, which is the second-most road matches in a row for any NCAA Division I team in 2026.

- Liberty head coach Scott Wells is in his first season with the Flames. He previously coached at Gardner-Webb, leading the Runnin' Bulldogs to the Big South Conference Championship in 2024.
- Liberty will participate in the Southern Conference (SoCon) this season after three years as a member of the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC). The Flames were picked to finish third in the SoCon Preseason Poll. Furman and UNCG were selected ahead of the Flames.
