
No. 6 Seed Liberty Advances with 4-0 over No. 11 Seed Missouri State

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Liberty women's tennis team (13-9) advanced to the quarterfinal round of the 2026 Conference USA Women's Tennis Championship, defeating No. 11 seed Missouri State (3-17) with a decisive 4-0 victory at the Adams Tennis Complex on Wednesday.
No. 6 seed Liberty will take on No. 3 seed Kennesaw State (11-6) in the CUSA Championship Quarterfinal on Thursday at 2 p.m. ET/1 p.m. CT.
The Lady Flames secured the doubles point with wins in the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles matches and earned three singles matches to clinch the win.
Liberty secured the doubles point with decisive victories on the first two courts. At No. 1 doubles, Yoanna Radulova and Maria Turchetto triumphed over Matilde Ercoli and Lucy Latham, 6-1. The No. 2 doubles pair of Daniella O'Neill and Milana Tsulygina followed suit, defeating Billur Gonlusen and Raluca Puscas, 6-3.
In singles play, Liberty quickly extended its lead. O'Neill kept the winning for the Lady Flames at No. 1 singles, defeating Latham, 6-1, 6-1. Radulova secured a 6-1, 6-3 win over Ercoli on court three. Wai wrapped up the day's play with a 6-0, 6-4 victory at No. 6 singles against Jackson. Turchetto at No. 2 singles delivered a commanding 6-2, 6-2 win over Gonlusen, and Tsulygina added another point with a 6-2, 5-2 victory over Puscas at No. 4 singles.
Three matches went unfinished, with Liberty winning the first set on each court. Turchetto was leading 6-2, 2-2 on court two, Tsulygina was nearing a victory up 6-2, 5-2 at No. 4 singles and Joseph was up 6-3, 1-3 on court five.
