Men’s Tennis Set for Pair of West Coast Matchups in Oregon

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Liberty men's tennis team travels to Oregon for a pair of West Coast tilts at Oregon (7-2) on Friday and a neutral-site match meeting Portland (2-5) on Saturday. Friday's match begins at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, with Saturday set for a 4:30 p.m. ET/1:30 p.m. CT start.

The Flames are coming off a 2-0 weekend with triumphs over Longwood (6-1) and Penn State (6-1). The team currently owns a three-match winning streak.

Rodrigo Santiago Arraez was tabbed the Conference USA Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week following a 2-0 outing in the No. 1 singles position. He also went 2-0 in doubles with partner Guy Vorwerk.

Liberty will be meeting Oregon for the first time in program history and will face off with Portland for just the second time. The Flames and Pilots last met in 2014, with Liberty suffering a 7-0 road defeat.

Arraez owns a 4-3 singles record in the No. 1 position and is 4-1 in doubles this spring.
Carl Roothman currently sports a 4-2 singles record after winning his last four matches. He is 12-6 in singles for the year.
Liberty owns a 9-3 record between the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles slots. The team looks to improve on a 1-3 mark at No. 1 doubles.
The Flames seek their first four-match winning streak since 2024, when the team secured six consecutive triumphs.
