
Lady Flames Rally Past UNA in 5 Sets for 8th Win in Row

HOUSTON, Texas - Liberty rallied past North Alabama for a 3-2 (25-23, 12-25, 19-25, 25-22, 15-10) victory on Saturday at Fertitta Center.
The Lady Flames (12-1) won their eighth match in a row, going 3-0 at this weekend's Cougar Challenge. It marked Liberty's third in-season tournament title this year (also Buffalo, William & Mary). North Alabama (6-7) went 1-2 at the Cougar Challenge, sweeping McNeese yesterday before falling to both Houston and Liberty today.

- Carly O'Brien scored a match-high 19 kills for the Lady Flames, adding 10 digs for her fourth straight double-double. Jenna Otts sent down 13 kills while posting four blocks. Alison Bierwagen dished out 31 assists, while Zoe Hall posted five kills and four blocks. Shyia Richardson collected 10 digs.
- Kendall Barnes and Reese Ricketts shared team-high scoring honors with 17 kills each for the Lions. Kinslee McGowan registered 42 assists, five aces, 13 digs and four blocks, while Amelia Keating led all players with eight blocks.
- The Lady Flames overcame a 16-12 set-four deficit, outscoring UNA 13-6 from that point on, extending the match with a 25-22 victory.
- North Alabama burst out to a 9-5 advantage in the fifth set after a kill by McGowan. However, Laney Daniell's solo block sparked a 10-1 rally to end the match. Aubrey Acheson's ace sealed the 15-10 victory.Â
- Liberty is now 11-0 all-time against North Alabama in volleyball. Â
