
Liberty Tennis Sports 11 ITA Scholar-Athletes, All-Academic Team Honors

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Liberty men's and women's tennis teams featured 11 2025 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athlete recipients and received the honor of ITA All-Academic Team for their efforts during the 2024-25 school year.
The Liberty men's tennis team featured five, including freshman Siwanat Auytayakul, redshirt freshman Ernst Gouws, redshirt sophomore Chase Robinson, freshman Ben Sparks and freshman Guy Vorwerk. The Lady Flames' six recipients include freshmen Yu-Yun Chen, Celina Joseph, Anika Lemus, Yoanna Radulova, sophomore Maria Turchetto and redshirt sophomore Daniella O'Neill.
The ITA Scholar-Athlete award is awarded to student-athletes who are varsity letter winners, have a grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 or above for the current school year and have been enrolled at their current institution for at least two semesters.
Three student-athletes received their team-leading, third inclusion as an ITA Scholar Athlete. Those with three include Gouws, O'Neill and Robinson. Six freshmen received their first recognition as an ITA Scholar Athlete.
The ITA All-Academic Team award honors programs that maintained a team GPA of 3.20 or above during the 2024-25 school year. This season marks the 13th consecutive year the Lady Flames have been tabbed an ITA All-Academic Team, posting a 3.71 GPA this past academic year. The men's team earned the honor for the seventh time in the last eight seasons, with a 3.56 cumulative GPA in 2024-25.
Liberty was one of 139 teams to feature both its men's and women's programs on the ITA All-Academic Team award list.
