Athlon Sports Places CUSA Best 23 Liberty Players on Preseason All-Conference Teams

Liberty once again led another group's All-CUSA preseason player listing, as the Flames have now topped the Athlon Sports preseason honors selections.

Liberty had a Conference USA best 23 selections on the 2025 Athlon Sports All-CUSA Preseason All-Conference teams. The Flames also led the conference with six first-team selections.

Middle Tennessee ranked second on the list with 14 selections, followed by FIU and league newcomer Delaware with 13 honorees. Kennesaw State rounded out the top-five listing with 12 picks on the preseason award winners list.

Liberty's All-CUSA Preseason All-Conference first-team selections included running back Vaughn Blue, center Aaron Fenimore, offensive lineman Jack Tucker, defensive end/Joker CJ Bazile, Jr., linebacker Joseph Carter and safety Brylan Green.

The Athlon Sports 2025 College Football Preview Magazine also predicted the Flames to capture the 2025 Conference USA title. This would be Liberty's second following an undefeated conference run in 2023.

Athlon Sports picked Western Kentucky to finish as the league's runner-up, followed by Jacksonville State, Louisiana Tech and UTEP to round out the top five teams in the league.Â
