Troyer Posts a Strong April
• Since the beginning of April, right fielder Camden Troyer has been one of Liberty's leading run producers. The senior has 19 RBI and leads the Flames with 24 runs scored over the last 20 games. The senior has scored seven more runs than any other Flames during that span.
• Troyer has moved into the CUSA leaders in RBI and runs scored. The outfielder leads Liberty and is fifth in the Conference USA with 47 runs scored. He is one of three Flames among the CUSA leaders in RBI, currently 10th with 40. Troyer also leads Liberty with a .310 batting average.
• The outfielder has hit .364 and posted a .451 on-base percentage over the 20 games since April 4. He has hit six of his 10 home runs on the season during the span.Â
• Troyer has collected 10 multi-hit games and five multi-RBI games during the stretch. He has two or more hits in four out of his last five games.
• He kicked off the month by going 4-for-4 and scoring four runs in Liberty's victory over Middle Tennessee on April 4.

• The Liberty Flames travel to Huntsville, Texas, for a three-game CUSA series against the Sam Houston Bearkats, Saturday and Sunday at Don Sanders Stadium.Â
• The Flames and Bearkats met for the first time on the diamond last season. Liberty took all four meetings, sweeping the three-game regular-season series against Sam Houston in Lynchburg and then defeating the Bearkats in the first game of the CUSA Baseball Championship for both teams at J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park in Ruston, La.
• Liberty moved to 7-4 in midweek games and 6-3 against teams from the ACC with a 13-4 win at Virginia Tech on Tuesday night to begin a four-game road trip. The Flames pounded out a season-high 19 hits in the victory.
• Bradley LeCroy was named the eighth head coach in Flames' history in July 2024. He is in his third year as a head coach after two years at VCU.
And the Hits Kept Coming
• Tuesday night in Liberty's 13-4 win at Virginia Tech, the Flames had a season-high 19 hits, surpassing their previous high of 18 in a 13-3 win in 8 innings over Middle Tennessee on April 4 at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium.
• All nine hitters in the Liberty batting order had at least one hit, with five having two or more.
• Leading the way was left fielder Nick Barone, who went 4-for-4 to record his first four-hit game of the year.
• First baseman Michael Gibson, second baseman Easton Swofford and shortstop Tanner Marsh each added three hits apiece to the Liberty effort. Center fielder Michael Robertson had two hits for the Flames.
• Gibson had two singles in the sixth inning, becoming the first Flame since Brian McClellan in a win at New Mexico State on March 24, 2024, to have two hits in the same inning.  McClellan had two singles in the sixth inning also.
Barone Gets Rolling
• Flames' left fielder Nick Barone posted his first four-hit game of the season, going 4-for-4 with a walk, an RBI and three runs scored in Liberty's victory at Virginia Tech Tuesday. It was his third consecutive game with two or more hits.
• The outfielder has a hit in each of his last five games and has a team-leading .476 batting aver-age and 10 hits over the span. He has also knocked in a team-high six runs.
• Barone has been one of the Flames' most consistent run producers this season. He is second on the Flames and is seventh in Conference USA with 43 RBI.Â
 • The outfielder has also hit eight home runs. He is one of two Flames (Jaxon Sorenson the other) with a pair of two home-run games this season (at Duke 2/26; vs. Central Michigan 3/9).
• This past Saturday, he had a home run and a double, driving in four runs in Liberty's win over Kennesaw State.
• For the season, Barone has hit .296 with 37 runs scored. He has a .531 slugging percentage.Â
Blair Has Been Big
• Sophomore right-hander Ben Blair has met all expectations for him in 2025.Â
• Blair, who was selected to the 2025 CUSA Preseason All-Conference team by the conference's head coaches, has posted a 5-2 record with a 3.12 ERA over 60 2/3 innings in 11 starts this season. The right-hander has struck out 70 and walked 22.Â
• He is currently among the CUSA leaders in several categories. Blair is first in innings pitched, fourth in ERA, tied sixth in wins and fourth in strikeouts.Â
• Blair picked up his first CUSA Pitcher of the Week honor of his career, pitching six shutout innings in his first start of the year, combining with relievers Caleb Lingenfelter and Tyler August for a 3-0 blanking of the St. John's Red Storm in game two of a doubleheader at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium on Feb. 14. The sophomore scattered five hits, striking out 11 and walking two batters. He did not allow a batter past second base during his outing.
