
Liberty Baseball Announces 2026 Schedule

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Liberty Flames baseball team has released its schedule for the 2026 season. In its second season under head coach Bradley LeCroy, Liberty is scheduled to play a 56-game regular season schedule and host 31 home games at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium. The Flames are slated to open the 2026 season in Charleston, S.C., at The Citadel, Feb. 13-15. The following weekend, Liberty will host the West Virginia Mountaineers, a 2025 NCAA Super Regional participant, at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium, Feb. 20-22.
2025 NCAA Regional Teams Fill the Schedule
Liberty is slated to play 14 games against teams that participated in the 2025 NCAA Tournament. Liberty is scheduled to face 2025 Super Regional participants Duke (two games) and West Virginia (three games). In addition, the Flames will square off with NCAA Tournament teams Dallas Baptist (three), NC State (one game), Western Kentucky (three games) and Wake Forest (two games).
Five of the contests against 2025 NCAA Regional teams are scheduled for Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium, while nine contests are on the road. Of the nine road games, six will be CUSA games as Liberty travels to Dallas Baptist and 2025 CUSA champion Western Kentucky for a three-game conference series during the season.
Home Sweet Home
The Flames are scheduled to host 31 games at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium, considered one of the premier facilities in college baseball in 2026. The Flames will host five three-game CUSA weekend series, beginning with conference newcomer Missouri State, March 13-15. In addition, Liberty will host Hofstra, Harvard and West Virginia in three-game nonconference home series. In midweek home contests, the Flames will face Charlotte, Duke, High Point, UNCG, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest during the regular season.
Making their Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium Debut
Liberty will welcome five teams to Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium for the first time in their program histories. Charlotte, Delaware, Harvard, Missouri State and UNCG will all visit the Flames' home field for the first time since the facility was built in 2013. Harvard and Missouri State will be first-time opponents for Liberty.
In addition, the Flames will renew acquaintances with three teams that they have not faced for an extended period of time at home. Liberty will square off with High Point, a former foe during the Flames' days in the Big South Conference, for the first time since 2018, entertain UNCG, another former Big South opponent, for the first time since 2015 and meet Delaware for the first time since 1997. Liberty will also play High Point and UNCG on the road.
CUSA Schedule
With the addition of Delaware and Missouri State, Conference USA will have 12 teams to pursue the conference crown in 2026. Each team in the conference will play 10 three-game series, five at home and five on the road.
Liberty opens conference play with a three-game series at home against the Missouri State Bears, March 13-15 at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium. The Flames will also host FIU, Jacksonville State, Delaware and Louisiana Tech in a three-game CUSA series.
On the road, the Flames will face Dallas Baptist, Kennesaw State, New Mexico State, Middle Tennessee and 2025 CUSA Champion Western Kentucky in conference this season.
The top eight teams in the conference standings will move on to the 2026 CUSA Baseball Championship in Kennesaw, Ga., May 20-24. The 2026 Championship will feature a double-elimination bracket with a winner-takes-all championship.
