The host Tigers led from the start as third baseman Josh Piano connected for a three-run home run in the home half of the first inning, while the Clemson mound staff held Liberty in check at the plate throughout the game.
With the score 4-1 Tigers, the Flames loaded the bases with one out in the fifth inning, but Clemson reliever Nathan Dvorsky entered the game and retired the next two batters to end the threat.
Liberty catcher Tucker Moore belted a solo home run in the ninth, his third of the season.
Liberty falls to 11-6 on the year. Clemson takes both games of the series and ups its record to 17-1. The Tigers have won 15 in a row.
