
Liberty Downs St. John’s 11-2 to Sweep Season-Opening 3-Game Series

For the third consecutive game, Liberty scored in the first inning, taking advantage of two St. John's errors to plate four runs. In the second, the Flames tacked on three more on third baseman Jaxson Sorenson's first home run at Liberty, a three-run blast, before adding three more in the third inning to build a 10-0 advantage.
Meanwhile, Flames' pitching held the Red Storm scoreless through the first six innings.
Designated hitter Landon Scilley collected two hits and an RBI and scored a run for Liberty, while center fielder Michael Robertson also had two hits and scored a run.
Liberty moves to 3-0 to begin the year. St. John's drops to 0-3.
