Liberty Storylines

This will be the second meeting in as many years between Liberty and Charleston. The Flames and Cougars squared off last year in the inaugural Field off 68 Media Network Tip-Off event. Charleston bested Liberty 76-67 in that matchup.
Liberty (3-1) dropped its first game of the year, falling 77-74 in overtime to Florida Atlantic on Saturday night. Charleston (3-0) stayed unbeaten with a 119-116 double OT win over FAU, Friday night.
The Flames' Kaden Metheny paced the offense with 19 points. Zach Cleveland had 11 points, eight rebounds and seven assists (game high). Owen Aquino contributed 14 points, eight boards and three steals. Taelon Peter scored 13 points, his most as a Flame.
Liberty held FAU (101.5 ppg coming in) nearly 25 points below its season average in a game that went to OT. Charleston enters Sunday averaging 98.3 ppg.
Liberty is ranked 18th in the College Insider Men's Mid-Major Top 25®. Charleston is No. 19.
Liberty is 0-3 all-time at the Field of 68 Tip-Off event.
